Preschool pumpkin patch

We had a pumpkin patch in preschool. We raked and picked up leaves and made a leaf pile. We then took turns jumping into the leaf pile. That was alot of fun. Each preschooler got a turn to pick a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch. Then we took them inside and decorated them with markers. They turned out really cute. 

Halloween and Communty Helpers

We have been learning about community helpers and health and nutrition. We also have been talking about Halloween. Halloween is ais an excited thing for our little ones. We made mouths with teeth in them. The teeth were mini marshmallows. We made firefighters with our hands. We read the book Go Away Big Green Monster; the preschoolers loved it. We then made a Green monster with our handprints. We painted one of our hands yellow and one blue and rubbed them together to make green. We then put into onto the paper and added the different features.

Firefighters

We have been learning about safety. Firefighters help us be safe. The children put on fire equipment. Thank you to Mrs. Craig for bringing in the fire equipment.

5 Senses

We finished learning about the 5 senses by eating some popcorn. We talked about how it tasted, and smelled. We even talked about how it felt. Mr. Potato Head uses his 5 senses to learn; so we made a Mr. Potato Head out of paper. While making him we talked about the different parts and what we use them for.
